These miles can be used while booking a ticket by redeeming them for the fare amount of the ticket. In order to cancel, the itinerary is firstly retrieved by entering the Booking reference number and the last name of the passenger.

Once the ticket is retrieved, cancel button is clicked. The cancellation is confirmed when an email or text message about the same is received.

Unless the passenger is a top-tier elite flyer, the airlines will ask to pay for the cancellation if it is done after 24 hours of purchase.

There is a cancellation fee applicable to the passengers with miles also but it varies according to the fare and distance between source and destination cities.

After the cancellation fee, the amount which is left is transferred back into passenger’s account.
